Arkansas is a basket full of fun things to do and lovely places to see. A family reunion at any of this state’s hundreds of attractions offers each member of your family the opportunity to see and do something fun and different.
Pederson Travel Service can attest to the state’s versatility when it comes to activities to try and attractions to visit. We are a full-service travel agency in Watertown, South Dakota, and the list we wrote below highlights some of Arkansas’ most popular attractions. Each of them is family-friendly and should easily add flair to your family reunion.

· Hot Springs National Park
Care for a bath? The Hot Springs National Park has several old-fashioned bathhouses that will cater to that. For hundreds of years, people from all corners of the globe have frequented this region simply to bathe in its mineral waters. Some of the bathhouse date back to the 1900s, so you know you’re stepping into a place with a wealth of history to tell.
But the hot springs aren’t the only reason you should head there. There are great trails and lively campgrounds at the park too, and the majority of the camper are families out for a fun time just like you.
· Magic Springs and Crystal Falls Theme Park
Obviously, this place will appeal to the younger members of your family, but adults can still join in on the fun too. There are winding roller coasters and great water rides you can ride. Once you’re done with all the wet games, the entire family can relax under the multitude of cabanas dotting the park. To round it all up, live concerts are regularly held there, and they arguably draw more crowds than any other feature of the park.
· The Museum of Discovery
Here’s a place brings together learning and fun, making it the perfect family destination. The interactive tourist exhibits can keep you entranced because they are truly fascinating; ‘How People Make Things’ and ‘Grossology’ in particular are extremely interesting. Head over to the ‘Tornado Alley Theater’ to get a first-hand experience of what a tornado is like; then partake in other activities that teach you things you never knew about science.
· Alligator Farm and Petting Zoo
You’ve never been to a zoo like this one before. We’re sure of it. There are over 150 alligators there basking in the sun and awaiting your family’s excited chattering. The petting zoo has fewer intimidating animals, but seeing them is still fun. The most popular animals are a mini donkey, goats, sheep and some exotic ones too.
