· Herbert Hoover Presidential Library and Museum

Museums are always fun places to visit, but this isn’t your ordinary museum, no. It has archives and exhibits of President Hoover’s years as the President of the United States. Simply put, it’s a presidential library that will be a haven for history buffs. Even if you’re not too keen on history, there’s much to see and appreciate here, so it’s easily one of the first places you should go see. It’s open every day of the week too, from 9 am to 5 pm.

· High Trestle Trail

Who doesn’t love a good exercise? It’s great for your health and it can be fun too. The High Trestle Trail is a lovely, 15-mile long trail that offers you a chance to do exercise and have fun at the same time. It meanders through 5 towns and 4 counties, so you have a lot of land to cover. And remember, each of those towns is something else to explore.

There’s no admission fee to go on the trail too, and it’s open 24/7, so there’s really nothing to hold you back here. Pack a few chilled drinks and take the entire family on the trail. It’s going to well worth it!

· Des Moines Art Center

You know we just had to pick an art center for you to go see. We love art, and we’re sure you do too. The Des Moines Art Center is well-known for housing an impressive collection of paintings, sculptures, modern art, and mixed media. And you know the best part of it all?
